Who we are
Who Said I Couldn’t Cook was never just a name.
It was a declaration.
I was born in Burkina Faso, raised in West Africa, educated in Europe, and now live in the United States. Each place shaped me. Each culture sharpened my perspective. Each table taught me something different about food, discipline, and community.
Home food is more than nourishment.
It is heritage.
It is discipline.
It is community.
The bold spices of West Africa formed my foundation. Slow-simmered stews. Layered textures. Deep, soulful flavor. Europe refined my technique. America expanded my exposure. Today, my cuisine reflects that journey. Rooted in African tradition, elevated by global influence.
But my relationship with food did not always reflect balance.
At one point, I weighed over 400 pounds.
That chapter forced a complete recalibration of how I ate, how I moved, and how I lived. Through intentional cooking, structured discipline, and consistent training, I transformed my health without abandoning the culture that raised me. I did not remove flavor. I refined my relationship with it.
That transformation became the foundation of this brand.
Today, I cook with purpose.
As a private chef, caterer, and meal-prep specialist, I create elevated cuisine grounded in West African heritage and shaped by the places I have lived. Every menu is crafted with balance, precision, and intention. Bold flavor. Clean execution. Excellence without excess.
Whether preparing an intimate in-home dinner, curating a catered experience, or designing structured meal plans that support a client’s lifestyle, the standard remains the same:
Excellence. Intention. Discipline.
My approach is discreet, detailed, and personal. Clients trust me not only to cook, but to understand their goals, their lifestyle, and their expectations.
This work is personal. I have lived the transformation I now help others sustain.
Who Said I Couldn’t Cook is more than catering.
It is culture evolved.
It is strength refined.
It is confidence plated.
And the promise is simple:
You can dream it. I can cook it.
What I serve is more than food.
It is intention on a plate.
